My Story
Dr Sheila Macintyre
BDS (Dundee) 1995
Dr Sheila Macintyre qualified from the University of Dundee Dental School in 1995 and has been providing high-quality, patient-centred dentistry in the West of Scotland ever since.
She purchased her first practice in Govan in 1998, before taking ownership of Kilbarchan Dental Practice in 2005. In 2013, she relocated the practice to its current purpose-built premises, creating a modern, welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
Sheila has undertaken further postgraduate training in intravenous sedation and offers this service for patients who feel anxious or require additional support during treatment. She has a particular interest in supporting nervous patients, taking time to ensure they feel calm, informed and in control of their care.
Her clinical interests include all aspects of general dentistry, clear aligner orthodontics, and selected cosmetic treatments, with a focus on achieving natural, confident smiles.
Outside the practice, Sheila enjoys playing the piano, skiing, and strength training. She is also a proud mum to three daughters, who keep life busy and full of energy.
